Epolog #2 The Eubank cemetery is 200 meters upslope to the north of James's house.
It is highly likely that this is the resting place of the 30-year old enslaved woman in the 1850 slave census and mother of the 2 enslaved girls in 1860. This raises an archaeological question: could we detect a straight-sided soil disturbance extending down several feet below the depression? If so then it would be virtually certain. |
