Glenn Stone at gallery opening
My work as a photographer began as an archaeologist documenting excavations in the southwestern US. I became involved with fine art photography as a cultural anthropologist studying indigenous cultures and agricultural systems in Nigeria, India, the Philippines, and sustainable food producers in the US. Now a full time Amherst County resident, my current project celebrates the biodiversity of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

My most recent book from my day job as an anthropologist is The Agricultural Dilemma: How Not to Feed the World (Routledge Press).

Framed Prints

Fine-art photographs from the Blue Ridge Mountains and from ethnographic fieldwork around the world.
All prints are offered in a thin black metal frame with a white bevel-cut mat.
